Foley
Foley noises are the sound effects you hear on the radio and movies. Examples of foley noises are making footsteps or blowing through a straw into water. The people who make foley noises are very creative. They use the most simple things such as twisting cellophane to make it seem like really intense things, like fire. The invention of foley was probably one of the greatest things in entertainment history.

War of the Worlds Questions
Did you find the broadcast suspenseful? Why?
I personally did not think it was suspenseful because I knew it was fake and old. I'm sure the people at the time thought it was one of the most suspenseful things because they thought the events in the radio broadcast were actually going on.
How do the interviews with astronomers compare with the eyewitness accounts? What does this tell you about scientists’ attitudes toward space and the existence of alien life?
The astronomers seem scared which tells me that they believe in the existence of alien life.
What aspects of the broadcast made it seem real?
It seemed real because of the interviews and the descriptions of the scene.

Did you care about what happened to any of the characters? Why or why not?
Well, since I already knew that the broadcast was fake, no.
What other stories does this remind you of?
This reminds me of many movies such as 2012, War of the Worlds, Transformers, etc.

Digital Security (self-protection)
1. Online Safety:
I don't think any of the rules are dumb because they all make perfect sense and are good to listen to. No, you are never perfectly safe on the internet. There is danger everywhere and no way of escaping. However, there are ways to be safer than others.
2. Passwords:
My way of making a hard password is putting Lightner, my last name, and Roma, my middle name, together with a mix of numbers and symbols to look like this: L1ghtn3rR0ma
3. Profile and Privacy :
If you have things on your profile that you don't want certain people to see then I suggest you take them down now. Your future boss or college professor may see them and you don't want to miss out on a good college or job oppurtunity because of some stupid picture of you at a party.
4. Predators
I have never felt uncomfortable online because I keep myself so private that I just can't feel that way.
5. Sharing Information
My facebook account is completely private but I still don't post anything that I don't want certain people to see. I do not post statuses on facebook and rarley comment on other posts or photos. The only thing I post on facebook are photos. I am very careful with the photos I post. I ask myself, "What if my future boss sees this? Or my college professor? Or my family?" If I think it's fine for them to see then I post it. My twitter profile however is completely public. I leave it public because I only use my first name, Bella, and don't have a single drop of personal information on there. I don't really even look like myself in my profile picture. If someone from my class who I don't know very well landed on my twitter profile they would probably have a hard time figuring out who it was. I keep it public to try to communicate with people who live in New York, LA, Europe, etc.

Digital Law
SECTION ONE:
-Yes, the research paper I just wrote for my teacher is copyrighted because it's my own work.-Taking stuff from the internet and putting it in your own words is not considered theft to me. Theft is when you completely take someone's idea and make it like it was your own. Example, copying and pasting.
SECTION TWO:
-I think downloading is very serious but not always illegal. For example, if you go to a photographer's website, they may have an album called "Free Non High Res Images". There will most likely be a button to download it straight to the computer. If it's a trusted website then it is ok. Another example is music. Music should be purchased. If the websites says "Free Music" then it's definitely a scam.-I have downloaded tens and hundreds of songs and yes it was wrong and it was stealing. If you download song that you purchased then it's ok and legal. If you got it free off a website then it's illegal.
-I think people are motivated to make computer viruses because they find it funny to mess with other people and they have nothing better to do in their lives. Sometimes, I also think that people from virus protection companies are the ones who make viruses so that people come to them for help and then they make money.
-You're most susceptible to phishing when you are making an account on something and typing in personal information. Yes, this has happened to me and I lost everything on my computer.
SECTION THREE:
-The people who suffer with online piracy are the owners of the original material because it's their's and they have to rights to it.

Digital Access
Digital Access
1. I think everyone's life would be more improved with technology but a lot of people don't know how to use it very well. I know many people who aren't good with technology for example my mom and my aunt. They're not used to it because they didn't grow up with it and more than less of the time they don't like it and prefer not to use it.
I know for a fact that many senior citizens have a difficult time with technology and struggle to use it. There are many ways to help them such as increased font and audio, and the computer or phone can read to them. I'm sure that technology could improve the quality of their lives such as communicating with family and such but think about it; them being at the age they are, they're going to want to do it the old fashioned way.
2. I think everyone should have full rights to the internet which we do. The video made it seem like other things were completely blocked which they aren't. I think I like "being in the bubble" better because when I look something up, I wan't the websites I usually use to come up before the ones I don't.
3. I think it's wrong to completely block certain things from certain people when in another country, those people can see it. Everyone has a right to look up what they want.
4. I don't think this is controlling over my access at all. I think it's fair because I am at this school and I do have to follow the rules. They have rules everywhere and they have to be followed

Internet Saftey
I personally think the Internet can be either extremely safe or extremely dangerous. You can do a lot of stuff on the internet that is safe such as looking at photos, research, or just surfing around. However, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. can be very dangerous in many ways. I myself, have an account to over 15 social media websites so I am putting myself at risk to the dangers of the internet. Most of my accounts are private so that all a stranger can see is my username. The accounts that are public are the accounts I don't put any personal information. The only thing personal about my public accounts such as twitter and tumblr are my first and middle names. I feel like everyone should make their accounts private. Especially facebook!

Tagxedo
Music I heard with you was more than music,
And bread I broke with you was more than bread;
Now that I am without you, all is desolate;
All that was once so beautiful is dead.
Your hands once touched this table and this silver,
And I have seen your fingers hold this glass.
These things do not remember you, beloved,
And yet your touch upon them will not pass.
For it was in my heart that you moved among them,
And blessed them with your hands and with your eyes;
And in my heart they will remember always,
They knew you once, O beautiful and wise.
And bread I broke with you was more than bread;
Now that I am without you, all is desolate;
All that was once so beautiful is dead.
Your hands once touched this table and this silver,
And I have seen your fingers hold this glass.
These things do not remember you, beloved,
And yet your touch upon them will not pass.
For it was in my heart that you moved among them,
And blessed them with your hands and with your eyes;
And in my heart they will remember always,
They knew you once, O beautiful and wise.
