1. Online Safety:
I don't think any of the rules are dumb because they all make perfect sense and are good to listen to. No, you are never perfectly safe on the internet. There is danger everywhere and no way of escaping. However, there are ways to be safer than others.
2. Passwords:
My way of making a hard password is putting Lightner, my last name, and Roma, my middle name, together with a mix of numbers and symbols to look like this: L1ghtn3rR0ma
3. Profile and Privacy :
If you have things on your profile that you don't want certain people to see then I suggest you take them down now. Your future boss or college professor may see them and you don't want to miss out on a good college or job oppurtunity because of some stupid picture of you at a party.
4. Predators
I have never felt uncomfortable online because I keep myself so private that I just can't feel that way.
5. Sharing Information
My facebook account is completely private but I still don't post anything that I don't want certain people to see. I do not post statuses on facebook and rarley comment on other posts or photos. The only thing I post on facebook are photos. I am very careful with the photos I post. I ask myself, "What if my future boss sees this? Or my college professor? Or my family?" If I think it's fine for them to see then I post it. My twitter profile however is completely public. I leave it public because I only use my first name, Bella, and don't have a single drop of personal information on there. I don't really even look like myself in my profile picture. If someone from my class who I don't know very well landed on my twitter profile they would probably have a hard time figuring out who it was. I keep it public to try to communicate with people who live in New York, LA, Europe, etc.
